How to Sign In to SAP Concur: Email, Username, SSO, and What to Check When You Can't

Check the identifier type, Company Sign On, two-factor authentication, and device requirements in order to narrow down why sign-in fails.

Know whether you sign in with an email or a username

The SAP Concur sign-in screen accepts either a verified work email address or your SAP Concur (web version) username. Enter it, tap Continue, and then enter your password.

If you sign in with an email address, verify it first in the web version under Profile, Profile Settings, Your Information, Email Addresses. An unverified email address will not let you continue.

Use Company Sign On when your company uses SSO

If your company uses single sign-on (SSO) to reach SAP Concur, choose Company Sign On instead of an email and password.

Authentication then happens through your corporate identity provider, and there is no separate Concur password. Ask your Concur administrator whether your account is a password account or an SSO account.

The password route and the Company Sign On route need different inputs.

Meet the two-factor and device requirements

To continue signing in, you must set up two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code on the sign-in page with an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator, then enter the six-digit code. If you cannot scan the QR code, choose Set up manually with a key.

SAP Concur also will not let you sign in if your device has no passcode or has been modified to remove manufacturer restrictions.

Check the password problems in order

When a password is rejected, first confirm that the identifier you type matches what your company assigned, an email or a username. Next, if you use the email option, confirm it is verified in the web version.

If you still cannot sign in, try a password reset and confirm with your administrator that the account is not actually an SSO account. Repeated failed attempts can lock the account, which a separate article covers.

Sign in to the mobile app with a QR code from the web

If you are signed in to SAP Concur on the web, you can sign in to the mobile app with a QR code and no password. On the web, open Profile, Profile Settings, SAP Concur mobile app, Mobile App Sign in to display a QR code.

Scan it with your mobile camera and type the numeric code shown in the app back into the web page. A company administrator must enable this feature.
